Bump Out - Bioretention

The proposed bump outs should perform double duty as bioretention facilities. This provides multiple benefits of traffic calming, green space, native planting opportunities, street tree opportunities, and storm water management service.

Part of the parking lanes near the bioretention facilities can be transformed with permeable paving as well.

Bump outs that utilize paint and plastic delineators or water filled barriers are not aesthetically pleasing.
