West Hyattsville Green Alley
The City of Hyattsville is working with the Neighborhood Design Center to develop a concept design for the alley behind Queens Chapel Town Center in West Hyattsville.
The City is planning improvements to the alley infrastructure in order to:
- better connect the business district and the neighborhood;
- incorporate attractive features that create a unique sense of place;
- address stormwater management concerns;
- provide flexible space for events and community gatherings;
- and improve the overall aesthetics of the alleyway.
The Neighborhood Design Center held in-person feedback sessions in January and February 2024 with local residents and businesses.

Staff from the Neighborhood Design Center will review the survey data and develop a Concept Plan for the alley. The plan will be shared with the community at a June 29 event at Queens Chapel Town Center from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.!
