City Budget: Fiscal Year 2026

Every year Hyattsville's City Administrator works with City Council and staff to establish the City's budget. The budget outlines anticipated revenues and expenditures for the fiscal year, running from July 1 - June 30.

The FY 26 Budget was presented at the Council meetings on March 24 and April 2. The presentations are available below.

Council discussed the individual department budgets in more detail at an in-person work session on April 5.

Council budget amendments were submitted at the April 21 Council meeting.

First Reading of the FY 26 Budget

Following discussion of the proposed budget amendments, the first reading of the FY 26 budget will take place at the City Council meeting on May 19, 2025.

The agenda and registration link for the May 19 meeting will be available at hyattsville.org/meetings no later than Friday, May 16.
