Based on a resident petition, traffic calming strategies are being considered for the 6000 block of 43rd Street between Oliver and Oglethorpe Streets.

Phases
Community Meeting
Community members are invited to join staff from the Department of Public Works on September 10 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss a revised plan and next steps for the proposed traffic calming project on the 6000 block of 43rd Street. The meeting will take place onsite at the intersection of 43rd and Oglethorpe Streets.
In the months since the last meeting, City staff have reviewed available traffic data to determine what tools are needed to address the current concerns. Speed shields have been placed on Oglethorpe at 42nd and 43rd Streets to alert drivers to their current speeds and flash when they exceed the speed limit.
