Why on earth did it close in November 2022 if we are still in the design phase? That’s an entire spring season of grabbing a coffee and watching my kids run around wasted.

Hello, there has been ongoing environmental and survey work in the park during this period. This included tree repair and root aeration, stormwater abatement measures to protect the homes behind the park from water flow, and ground penetrating radar and surveying to prepare for demolition and construction. The park needs to remain closed to allow the ground markings and temporary stormwater protections to remain in place. Demolition of the current playground equipment is expected to begin soon.

Yeah, I would have loved to keep playing through the winter, since no work has happened yet.
