Hi all, I would like to see us add a new chapter about how to combine street treatments to maximum impact and install them all at once vs. piecemeal. For example, many residents have asked whether we could combine street treatments at Jefferson and 40th. When I attended one of the City's community outreach sessions, residents asked whether we could combine the colorful mural applied to the asphalt and sidewalk with additional treatments like more tree plantings, a real bike lane (vs existing sharrow), and an elevated speed table that spans the intersection.
Likewise, at the octopus intersection, residents have proposed a package of treatments. It would be helpful for Toole to provide examples of places that have done this to good effect, including scheduling the work to happen all at once. Thanks.
