Good question! This can be confusing because the U.S. Postal Service designates Hyattsville addresses to a larger area than the incorporated City of Hyattsville.
The best way to determine if you live in the City limits is by checking your address on the interactive map at hyattsville.org/isithyattsville.
Residents of the incorporated City of Hyattsville pay City taxes in addition to County taxes, and receive additional services from the City. This includes trash and compost collection, maintenance of City-owned roadways, City police, parking, and code compliance service, and resident discounts to City programs, like Summer Camps. They are also represented on Hyattsville's City Council by two Councilmembers from the City Ward they live in.
